General transport terms

Version 27 September 2026 · business customers only

Priority Liner is the trading name of Vandewaetere Trading BV, Sint-Maartensveldstraat 18, 8850 Ardooie, Belgium, VAT BE 0429.490.759, info@priorityliner.eu (the “carrier”). A website request is not a booking. A contract arises when the specific quotation and transport order are confirmed in writing. Mandatory law prevails. CMR applies to international road carriage; article 51(1) of the Belgian Act of 15 July 2013 also applies the CMR provisions specified there to domestic road carriage of goods in Belgium. Deviations require written agreement by both parties.

Before quotation the customer supplies addresses, time windows, contacts, nature and value of goods, package and pallet counts, packaging, full dimensions, gross weight including pallets and packaging, stackability, protrusions, centre of gravity, access restrictions and required documents. Maximum payload is 890 kg and capacity is up to eight Euro pallet spaces, subject to weight distribution, safe securing and tail lift capacity. Where the actual consignment differs, the carrier may propose a safe solution and revised price or refuse or suspend collection; reasonable evidenced costs caused by incorrect information are borne by the responsible party insofar as law permits.

Excluded and restricted goods

The current list of excluded goods and goods requiring prior approval forms part of these terms and appears on the separate Excluded and restricted goods page. Priority Liner is not a parcel or courier service. Multiple collection and delivery addresses are possible when agreed in advance as part of the order. Art, ADR goods and goods requiring temperature control are not accepted. If uncertain, the customer must obtain written confirmation before booking and remains responsible for accurate description and classification.

The sender provides sound packaging and marking. A tail lift and pallet truck are carried as standard, but require safe level load-bearing ground, sufficient access and a suitable pallet. Only handling expressly confirmed is included, normally one collection and one delivery at an accessible point by the vehicle. Stairs, thresholds, slopes, unpaved ground, carrying inside, unpacking, assembly and extra stops require agreement. The carrier decides safe positioning and securing and may refuse unsafe work.

The confirmed total price covers the described consignment and route, expected route costs and one agreed collection and delivery handling operation with tail lift and pallet truck where safe. Applicable VAT is stated separately. A fuel surcharge applies only if its amount or calculation is disclosed in the quotation. The quotation states its validity and included waiting time at each address. Changes are agreed with their effect on price and schedule; if the customer cancels after written confirmation, only unavoidable evidenced costs already incurred may be charged before the calendar day preceding the first scheduled collection. A written cancellation received on that preceding calendar day incurs 75% of the confirmed total price excluding VAT; cancellation received on the collection day before loading starts incurs 100%. The time Priority Liner receives the written cancellation determines the category. No other cancellation fee is added; demonstrably avoided costs and income from a replacement job using the same reserved capacity are deducted. No fee applies where cancellation is attributable to the carrier. Mandatory law prevails. An additional charge may be agreed for an extra or changed address, requested detour, further handling, waiting beyond the time included, failed delivery not caused by the carrier, requested storage, pallet exchange or a change in goods, dimensions, weight, packaging or access. The carrier explains the reason and estimates the charge as soon as practicable and seeks approval before extra work. If the customer cannot be reached, only necessary reasonable evidenced costs to protect the goods or safety may be incurred under applicable law. At collection the carrier may check the consignment and refuse or defer loading if it materially differs from the confirmed details or cannot be lawfully and safely carried within the 890 kg payload and equipment limits. A feasible alternative and revised price may be offered; without agreement there is no duty to carry nonconforming goods. Only reasonable evidenced costs caused by the customer’s inaccurate information or change are due, net of avoided costs.

A requested time is binding only if expressly accepted as such. Road safety and legal driving and rest periods take priority.

The sender supplies transport documents. Check the goods at delivery and record visible damage or missing packages on the transport document. Notify the carrier in writing of concealed damage within seven days of delivery (excluding Sundays and public holidays), and of delay within 21 days after the goods were placed at the consignee’s disposal. The day of delivery or availability is excluded. These periods follow CMR article 30. Please send photos and supporting documents to info@priorityliner.eu where possible. Mandatory carriage law governs liability and limits; Priority Liner carries standard CMR carrier liability insurance, including Belgian domestic carriage within the scope and terms of the policy. This is not all-risk insurance for the full value of the goods. Declare special value and insurance needs before booking; additional cover requires separate written confirmation. Nothing excludes liability where prohibited by law.

Personal data is governed by the separate privacy notice. Belgian law applies subject to mandatory rules; jurisdiction follows applicable mandatory rules, including CMR article 31. Parties first seek a written resolution. Invalid clauses do not invalidate the remainder where it can sensibly survive. The Dutch text is the contractual reference for discrepancies insofar as lawful and disclosed before booking.

Invoice and payment terms

Invoices specify the agreed price, VAT and separately agreed extras. The customer supplies accurate billing and VAT details. Structured electronic invoices are issued for Belgian B2B transactions where required. Unless the order confirmation says otherwise, payment is due 30 calendar days after receipt to the account shown on the invoice, subject to legal limits. Any invoice objection must be sent with reasons to info@priorityliner.eu within 8 calendar days of receipt, identifying the invoice, disputed amount and specific grounds. Otherwise the invoice is, subject to contrary evidence, evidence of the services and price; this period does not exclude proven error or mandatory rights. The undisputed balance remains payable. Cargo claims follow separate carriage-law deadlines and do not automatically suspend the whole freight charge. If an amount remains unpaid when due, statutory commercial late-payment interest accrues on the outstanding balance from the next day under the Belgian Act of 2 August 2002, without prior notice. Where that interest is due, the statutory €40 recovery-cost compensation applies, together with additional reasonable evidenced recovery costs where permitted. This is not a separate contractual penalty. Following reasonable written notice and subject to law and accepted orders, material arrears may lead to suspension of new orders or a request for prepayment.
